Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The faithful families of the Mar Thoma Diocese of North America & Europe will meet for the 28th time for its annual family conference in Dallas, July 1-4, 2010. The Mar Thoma Church of Dallas, Farmers Branch, Texas is privileged to host this conference with a vision of building Mar Thoma Church and its families through the study of the Word of God. The theme for the 2010 conference is taken from John 20:21 “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” It is intended to remind us of our mission in these challenging times, to be faithful to our calling as a community sent out to do His will. The conference programs are planned around this theme and will cater to the interests of all participants of all age groups. In addition to adults, youth and children, this year we are developing special programs for Young Families a fast growing segment of the church with immense potential and interests. We have 5 main speakers in addition to all the Achens of our Diocese to lead us in this conference. All our speakers are eminent scholars in their fields and eloquent speakers. This year we are blessed to have our beloved Chrysostom Thirumeni, who despite his advanced age will be the keynote speaker at the conference. For everyone in our Diocese, this is a golden opportunity to see and listen to Thirumeni. The program includes seminars, workshops, panel discussions, open forums to meet the interests of different groups. As always, there are uplifting worship services, refreshing choir singing and opportunities to witness your faith and showcase your talents for the glory of God.
